Harold Owen Horne died at the University of Utah Hospital, after a brave fight with Leukemia, on Tuesday, August 10, 1993.
He was born in Midvale, Utah on May 13, 1930, a son of Owen and Mildred Meyer Horne. He was raised in Kaysville. He attended Weber State College and graduated from Utah State University in 1957. He married Luana Lee in the Logan Temple on September 9, 1953. He is survived by his wife of Brigham, four sons and one daughter, Steven and Saundra Horne, Laurie and Adam Garner, all of North Salt Lake; Terry Horne, Mesa, Arizona; Paul Horne, Brigham, Utah; and Robbie and Maureen Horne, Utah; 13 grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers and one sister, Thad and Barbara Horne, Layton, Utah; Marvin and Jeanine Horne, Ken and Charlene Horne, all of Kaysville, Utah; David Horne, Reseda, California; Carolyn and Rick Myhre, Roseville, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dick Horne, his father, Owen Horne, and his son, Kevin Lee Horne.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Brigham City First Ward. Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.

ROY - Richard Meyer Horne, 52, of 2577 West 5600 South, died Tuesday, March 17, 1981 at the McKay-Dee Hospital of complications following surgery.
He was born July 20, 1928 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Owen Woodruff and Mildred Meyer Horne.
He married Ellen Bernice Phillips on February 22, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a member of the Roy 14th LDS Ward and had served a mission in the Northwestern States mission. He served in the Sunday School superintendency, was president of the Seventies Quorum, and served as a High Priest.
He worked for Roy City Recreation Complex and had owned and operated a construction company and built several homes in Weber County and surrounding areas. In his earlier days he was an insurance salesman, ran Ben Franklins in Ogden, and had a business breeding cows. He was a very hard working and dedicated man. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and boating.
Surviving are his widow of Roy; two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Larry (Trena) Dodge, Philippines; Mrs. Kenneth (Dixie) Berg, Oregon; Lee R. Horne, Layton; Jay Dee Horne, West Point; 12 grandchildren.
Also surviving are his parents of Kaysville; five brothers and one sister, Harold Horne, Brigham City; Thad Horne, Layton; Marvin Horne, Kaysville; David Horne, Fruit Heights; Kenneth Horne, Kaysville; Mrs. Rick (Carolyn) Myhre, San Antonio, Texas.

Horne; prelude and postlude by David Horne; a musical selection 'Families Are Forever" by Julie Gnad; Invocation, Harold Horne; speaker, Dr. Thad Horne; a quartet consisting of Ken, Charlene, Kathy, and Lee Horne, acc: by David Horne, sang "I'll Walk With God."
Other speakers were Edwin Hall and Earl Hill. Lorraine and Barbara Horne played a violin and piano duet, "Sacred Medley." "O My Father was sung by Ken, Charlene, Kathy, and Lee Horne, acc: by David Horne. Benediction by Marvin Horne.
Pallbearers were Brad Horne, Doug Giles, Kevin Horne, Don Phillips, Ben Horne, Kent Horne, Jim Horne, and Troy Bybee. Lee Horne dedicated the grave and interment was in the Farmington City Cemetery.
